The day of all days

As she stands and watches down the street she tries to focus, tries to clear her mind of the horrible events that have brought her to this point, tries to figure out what she can do to fix all the problems.. as her mind races movement in the street catches her eye. Her body instantly stiffens and she raises a hand to grab one of the handles to a blade on her back .. ready for whatever who...or it.. maybe. She relaxes as she sees it is the angel she has come to know as Jortek. He smiles and waves to her as he gracefully moves into the church. She lets out the breath that she had been holding and looks behind her as he walks in, she once again scans the street. Realizing she needed a moment to herself to try and calm her nerves she takes off to one of her favorite spots in the city. She jogs down the street, making sure to take the long way to avoid any chance of going near the pit, she slows to a walk when she passes by the Haven not wanting to alert any of her fellow members that maybe inside having a drink. After clearing the area she moves back into a slow jog, her feet heavy from the weight of her boots, she rounds a corner, she looks to the side and her eyes sadden as she sees two childrens park toys on the street corner, reminding her that this place used to actually be a thriving city.. she shakes her head as she continues to move forward rounding yet another corner she slows to a walk as she approaches the spot, her favorite spot..

She sits down on the ragged and torn blanket that someone must have left there ages ago and relaxes as she looks out over the ledge taking in the scenary of the sunset and the beautiful waves crashing against the rocks. She ignores the barrel of Toxic waste floating in the water and the blood stains by her feet, this was where she felt safe, this is where she could come to think. She leans back resting her weight on her hands as she stretches her legs forward. The first thought that comes to her mind is her twin Devi.. born only minutes apart, she has never felt a greater bond or love for anyone else in the world. She worries for her sister, worries that this place will change her sweet, caring, innocent nature. Devi being the only one to actually have witnessed their parents death, she feels that Devi may never be the same mentally stable person she once was. She turns her head and looks out over the ocean landscape and wonders where exactly or what exactly her sister was doing at that time...

She lets out a deep sigh as her thoughts move past those of her sister to a series of events that happened one dark night. She flicks a rock softly with her fingers as she lays down placing her hands behind her head to stare up at the sky. Her self control has never been strong, her anger has always been what has fueled her, she used to pride herself on her aggressive nature. She closes her eyes as she remembers the night that she found out the news that her dear friend GG had felt betrayed by the actions of a mutant named Hawk. GG, her best friend, felt hurt..never before having friends or being close to anyone but her family she immediately took GG in as one of her own, and vowed to protect her no matter what. Her breathing deepens as she remembers the fight with Hawk, feeling betrayed by one of her own members of the Church, she remembers being furious, throwing her pin to the ground at his feet and walking away. Later that night as she stood on a corner out near Haven still furious, she tried to tell Wicked and Jortek of her actions when three demons approached them. One demon immediately began to tell her how she should bow down to him, being the women she was, she felt the need to tell him that she bowed down to nobody as she drew her blades. She winces bringing a hand to her chest where a scar was still in place touching it softly, her anger clouded her thoughts and her blades had failed her... she was killed that night. Luck would have it Jortek, a now dear and very special angel to her, brought her back, telling her it was not yet her time to pass.. She stood there motionless as she watched her brother and Jortek fight to defend her honor. As always a crowd formed, bringing out those that were curious to what was going and those that just liked to watch blood be shed, including the demon, Janvier, himself. Not sure what happened after that, her memory fogged, she remembers looking back to see her brother walking off with Janvier, weak she did nothing but settle into a bench nearby. She rolls over on to her side tucking her knees to her death shaking slightly as she remembers waking up from that bench to see Wicked walking off with one of Janvier's faithful messangers Dio, as she stabled her self on her feet she ran after them only to approach them as Wicked falls to Dio's feet. She stood there motionless, letting fear and pain consume her as she watched Dio carve into Wicked's back a message from Janvier. Eventunally snapping out of it she went to Dio confronting him of his actions she verbally attacked him, demanding to know what had happened, Dio calm and without emotion simply advised her that he was delivering a message from Janvier and if there were any further questions she would have to contact him directly. She shivers again slightly, the blanket no longer providing warmth as it usually did, she remembers deciding that she would do just that. Not long after she approached Janvier on the street furious, wanting to make him pay for what had happened to her dear brother. Janvier being the cocky demon he was didn't pay much mind to her and eventually just walked off, but not before reassuring Vish and CJ that what had happened to Wicked was mearly for his entertainment.

She curls herself into a tighter ball her body trembling as she continues to reflect on everything that had happened, wishing to herself that she had more control of her anger. She sought Janvier out, how stupid could she be, to think that she could proposition the son of the devil. She knew that she would have to get his attention somehow, and the only thing at the time she could think of was using herself, confident in her fighting skills she cornered Janvier on the street telling him of a proposition she would like to make. Janvier intrigued listened to her.. "Janvier, I would like to make a proposition with you.. a fight... If I win, you shall leave myself and all of my family alone... and if you win, spare my life and you may do what you want with me" In the back of her mind she knew there was no way she could loose to such a dark soul, her heart was to strong to let her. She softly begins to cry as she has flashbacks of the fight as she remembers being thrown to her knees captured. She immediately gave up everything her only thought racing thru her mind at the time was who would care and protect her family as he quickly clamped a collar around her neck. Apparently word had spread of what had happened, it always does in Tox, there are eyes everywhere, nothing is kept secret... she crys harder as flashbacks of her brother coming for her return .. Her back to her brother, unable to look him in the face, she remembers words being exchanged, Janvier getting angered, the next thing she new she was at her brothers feet the collar broken on the ground.. Janvier's last words stating she would pay. She cried harder as she realizes that even now today Janvier still looks for her, threatening her family, all because of a stupid mistake she made. She looks up as tears run down her face she is greatful for The Righteous and their ability to forgive and understand as she softly fingers her pin on her shirt, but as she stands she knows that this is not a fight they should be burdoned with, she needed to do something to fix the problem, she knew that the time has come for her to protect her family once again... She turns taking one final last look out into the ocean as she walks back towards the church to find her family.
