Party at Haven

She looks at herself in the mirror, leaning in to check in the dim lighting to make sure she looked okay. Granted she was hard as a rock on the inside, but she still wanted to look good. She stepped back and turned to the side sucking in her stomach and then pooching it out slightly. She laughed.. it was harder to pooch out then she expected, she did have a smooth hard stomach from training constantly. Her hand ran up her side and brushed over a fresh long scab where she got a friendly reminder earlier this week of how much more training she needed to do. She brushed down her skirt and readjusted her top as she did one more final look over in the mirror. She turned and pushed open the bathroom door that led back out into the main bar of Haven. Haven was a place where everyone in Toxia could get togeather and share a drink without the fear of being killed or hunted. Now.. once you stepped outside those doors.. thats a completely different story. She scanned the smoke filled room and smirked as she saw how crowded it had gotten just in the few minutes that she was in the restroom. A well known DJ was working that night and had advertised well. She smiled as she saw many of her fellow righteous by the bar. Heading over to meet with them she groaned slightly when she overheard Janvier's voice in the background. She rolled her eyes and kept walking.. she was not here for drama tonight she was hear for fun! She leaned over the bar trying to catch the bartenders attention knowing a shot of Whiskey would do the trick. As she turned around to lean on the bar as she waited for her order she studied the room, she saw so many of her new friends and acquaintances there that night. She leaned back and slowly sipped her drink when it finally arrived.
Not to long after she had finished her first drink the dj made an announcement of a strip off. She shook her head and laughed. There was no way she would ever do that again.. She danced ions ago before she ever came to Tox, but that was to try and provide money and food for her family. There was no way, NO WAY, she would get up on stage again and take her clothes off... She scanned the stage and sighed when she saw one of her friends from the Ryders up there. No, she still wasn't doing it. No, No, No. She watched as the stage stood empty with only her, then she heard the cash prize. 4000L are you kidding? She set her drink down and walked up there to stand by Mal. There was no way that she was going to turn down the chance to win that much cash.. Mal grinned at her and she just shrugged "I couldn't leave you up here by your lonesome" The dj then boldly announced that the contest was about to begin. She was amazed at how many people came running up to the stage, then she winced as she saw who took the front and center chair. Some girl from some faction took the stage first, it took everything she had not to laugh at her as she stumbled about barely catching any of the men's attention. It was then Mal's turn, she knew Mal would be her toughest competition.. I mean look at her. If this were a different life she would even consider hitting on Mal. She laughed softly as they called her name. She struted to the stage immediately catching everyone's attention. Her sultry blonde hair and her full length body tattoo helped keep some eyes on her. She began to dance moving her hips and body to the music as she flirted with her smile and her eyes to all the men around her. Right when she turned her lowering herself to grind her hips on the floor Janvier looked directly at her. She tried to write it off and ignore him but he caught her attention with a few simple words.. "Win this competition and I'll let your family live" She acknowledge his words by leaning back displaying herself to all of Haven doing whatever she could. She stood up at the end of her song smiling at Mal.. she laughed, she had fun she truly didn't care anymore if she won or lost.. she would deal with the demon later. She laughed and joked with Mal as a few other girls did what they could. Mal and her knew they both had no competition. She clapped and applauded letting out lots of cat calls as the DJ announced Mal as the winner. She wasn't hurt, she was glad it went to her. She hopped off the stage deciding to call it a night. She was glad she was able to cut loose for a night letting her worries lay to the side, but she knew as she walked out the doors into the crisp cool night.. tomorrow was a whole different story..
